Heidi Vincent

“🎙️Because I love to sing & write songs 🎶”

Heidi just wrote “Mean Jolene” — the cheeky sequel to Dolly Parton’s classic. It’s all about what really happened after Jolene stole her man… spoiler alert: she got way more than she bargained for. Dedicated with love (and a wink) to my hero’s Dolly Parton & Patsy Cline.

This isn’t a retelling of Jolene — it’s the woman years later, with one brief memory of the day he left, and the rest of the song rooted in present-day clarity. 🎯

Heidi Vincent is a Vancouver-based country-pop-rock singer-songwriter known for sharp storytelling, heart-on-sleeve honesty, and a little well-placed fire.

Out now, her new single “Mean Jolene” picks up where Dolly Parton left off, a modern, cheeky sequel told from the original woman’s perspective years later, with the kind of clarity that only comes after the dust settles.

Written by Heidi, “Mean Jolene” nods to Dolly Parton, Patsy Cline, and Stan Jones, blending classic country roots with a contemporary edge, equal parts edge, sass and karma.

“This one came from a very young part of me… the girl who grew up on classic country, big feelings, and women who told the truth in three minutes flat.” — Heidi Vincent

The story started in Nashville — at Ole Red’s — and the track was brought to life through long time collaborator’s: produced by Winston Hauschild (TreeHouse Studios, Bowen Island), featuring Jerry Wong (Loverboy) on guitars, and Nashville drummer Lee Kelley (most recently w/Hank Williams Jr.) delivering the heartbeat behind the song.

Following previous releases “Criminal,” “Dear ADHD,” and “What Love Can Do,” Mean Jolene marks Heidi’s boldest chapter yet — confident, cinematic, and unmistakably her own.

“Mean Jolene” is out now on all streaming platforms.
