Blacksmith and Brewer

Blacksmith & Brewer
Rising from the ashes of a worldwide pandemic, drums & guitar two-piece Blacksmith & Brewer bring a fresh, energetic perspective to the decoration of our time.
The album “Blacksmith & Brewer”, released in 2023 and available on limited edition 12” vinyl, is pure ear candy, a rock journey that deserves a front to back session. (remember when we did that?) The last two years is marked by the slow release of 8 new songs, available at https://blacksmithbrewer.bandcamp.com
Guitarist/singer/brewer Chris Booth and drummer/blacksmith Kelly Backs come by the name Blacksmith & Brewer honestly, (it is their actual day jobs!) and have forged a musical bond that reaches back to the early days of punk and into the future of rock. Weaving their sounds together to create a complete aural landscape, which coming from a duo is surprisingly full, they use tight hooks and leads from both instruments (and truly great vocals by Chris) to entertain an audience that always roars for more.
The beauty of a two piece is the simplicity and nimbleness of the outfit. Tour ready, these two are a small package with a big impact. In crafting the live show, the stage setup for this duo is Kelly’s drums up front, facing Chris (and stage right) to bring the observer into the scene, witnessing the workings behind the kit in a way very few acts do.
They have recorded 20 songs at the Farm Studios on the Sunshine Coast of British Columbia, building a relationship with legendary producer GGGarth Richardson, and Blacksmith & Brewer are already writing their third album and ready share their brand of Rock & Roll with the world.
